This Stray Can Stay Program

Without a county shelter, stray animals in Ellis County have nowhere to go. This program is designed to provide support to community members who are providing temporary shelter to found pets. 

Right now, all animals have is  the hope that a kind finder will take them in.  We do not have a foster base, nor do we have a facility to take in animals. What we CAN do is help with resources and support for a finder who is willing to provide a safe shelter to an animal. 

• We can provide help with  food
• We can suppliy  crate, bed, food, leash, litter, etc.
• Medical care: help with vaccines, spay/neuter, etc. 
• Adoption support: marketing, social media, connections to recues & adopters.

• Animals must be strays (no owner claims).
• Must be 18+ with a safe home.
• Commitment: finder to provide food & shelter until adoption/rescue (or max time agreed).
• Safe interactions with other pets are required.
