WE'RE THE SUPPORT SYSTEM THAT HELPS PEOPLE HELP ANIMALS.
Every day, compassionate people step up to help a stray dog, feed a hungry pet, assist a neighbor in need, or advocate for animals in our community.
Too often, they don't know where to turn for guidance, resources, or support.
That's where we come in.
The Pet Coalition of Ellis County works alongside shelters, rescues, veterinarians, community leaders, and animal advocates to provide resources that help keep pets safe, healthy, and in loving homes.
Through preventative care clinics, pet food assistance, support for stray finders, advocacy, and community partnerships, we're building a stronger safety net for animals and the people who care about them.
When someone chooses to help an animal, they shouldn't have to do it alone.
Many Hearts. One Hope.
With local animal welfare agencies and caring community volunteers. Bringing together the hearts and minds of compassionate people, working together to create a better future for animals in Ellis County.
Combining purposeful actions with integrity and compassion, to create meaningful change.
From food pantries to help families in need, to working with our local shelters to spotlight pets in need of adoption, we hope to lead by action.

Without a county shelter, stray animals have little to no hope of finding food & a safe haven, let alone a loving home. "This Stray Can Stay" is a lifesaving program designed to provide resources to finders willing to feed and shelter stray pets.

The Pet Coalition of Ellis County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping pets safe, healthy, and with the families who love them. We work alongside animal shelters, rescues, veterinarians, animal control agencies, and compassionate community members to reduce pet homelessness through collaboration, education, and proactive support.
Our programs focus on prevention and community resources, including low-cost spay/neuter assistance, vaccinations, microchipping, pet food assistance, and community education. By connecting people with the resources they need before a crisis occurs, we help strengthen the human-animal bond, reduce shelter overcrowding, and create a more compassionate community for pets and the people who care for them.
